The home of a man convicted of annihilating world-renowned Sydney heart surgeon Victor Chang will requisition for his early release from jail on compassionate grounds.
Malaysian national Chew Seng (Ah Sung) Liew, 68, has spent 20 years in jail and suffers from the neuro-degenerative ailments Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
His wife and 3 adult children believe they may not see him alive for a free male if he serves the remaining 6 years of his maximum sentence.
