Yes there was. After Astronema turned into the good Karone for the first time, Saban wanted to make Karone the first 100% originally made in America Power Ranger. They even shot some scenes of her in a Purple PRiS power suit. However, due to budgetary constraints and a lack of adequate time, Saban unfortunately had to scrap the idea of the Purple PRiS ranger and it wasn't until PRLR that Saban was able to get around to making a 100% originally made in America Power Ranger!

And FYI, the 100% originally made in America Power Ranger that I'm talking about is the Titanium Ranger. And technically, GoGoV did have a 6th Sentai Ranger if you count the Demon Hunter as a Sentai Ranger. However, Sentai writers felt that Demon Hunter wouldn't translate well in the states, so that's why they made the Titanium Ranger, in order to replace the Demon Hunter and his Sentai scenes with American ones.
Demon Hunter was a she?! If America had used Demon Hunter, they could have had the first female sixth ranger ever! Instead, we had to wait until PRSPD for the god-awful Kat ranger and later the short-lived one episode Nova Ranger.
At least Disney had the sense to debut a GOOD female sixth ranger in PRMF before they even got around to debuting the regular Power Rangers in that season!
He guys there were actually 2 demon hunters a man and woman the man did'nt come until a few episodes later on GoGoV plus there were plans for another time when saban was ready to do dairangers (2nd series in line after MMPR) after the offical zord s from the 1st zords had been destroyed. So when zordon had got ready to change the zords the rangers would have got new costumes and tommy would have fit in better with the team but like with PRiS the production team did not have enough time or money so they decied to just do some regular american episodes which were crappy and to me did'nt make any sense
Green stop making up bull shit, there was no purple space ranger, karone wore a purple uniform which ment that she is officially a part of the team but she isn't a ranger. The space rangers them selves even said it. So don't go telling rider "if u actually did watch the show" because you clearly weren't watching the show too well. Just because they wear clothing of a particular color doesn't mean that they're a ranger of that color. Plus how can u be soo blind when the space rangers them selves explained what the color of her uniform meant before handing out the suit?
OOoohhh tell it like it is yellow But I have to say the rangers did have a hologram of how she would look like when andros was processing it togther so I dont know about that
